Yes, I know this has nothing to do with my 151 Pokemon challenge, but I figure you guys might like to see it since this is my art Tumblr. I made these buttons to sell at Phoenix Comic Con 2013 (http://www.phoenixcomicon.com/).
So far there aren’t no Gen 6 Pokemon that I don’t like (except maybe Mewtwo’s new form). My favorites are Chespin, Pancham, and Gogoat. Ain’t got no time for hate~
Hey guys, I’m sure you’ve noticed there’s been a lack of updates this week. I tried painting Nidorino on Monday and it didn’t quite work out, so I scrapped it. I thought I could get back on track by today, but that didn’t work out either!
Thing is, I really need to focus on my webcomic Slightly Damned. Namely, I need to care for its ongoing plushie Kickstarter and (possibly related??) I need to work on Book 2. Since these are both extremely time-sensitive and time-consuming projects, painting Pokemon is a luxury I can’t afford.
Don’t worry, I’m not giving up on my challenge. I’m just reprioritizing my responsibilities, and I feel this art challenge is something I feel I can put aside for now while I focus on more important things.
Thank you for understanding! Hopefully you’ll be able to see some new ‘mons by May.
030 Nidorina
With so many Pokemon it’s easy to forget that ones like Nidorina exist, but I’ve always really liked her whole family. You go, girl!
029 Nidoran ♀
I procrastinated on painting this Pokemon and as a result I had to do it on the day it was “due”. Since it was already late, I took my time and tried to make it look nice, even though (or because?) it’s a Pokemon that most people would probably just do quickly to get out of the way.
028 Sandslash
It’s probably been a while since one showed up in it, but have you ever heard Sandslash’s voice in the anime? It’s so cute! shlash! shlash!
027 Sandshrew
Imagine younger me’s surprise when I learned Sandshrew were basically real! They’re called pangolins and they’re super cute, yet unfortunately endangered. The more you know~*
026 Raichu
Raichu is my all-time favorite Pokemon. I wanted to make sure I did it justice, so I may have gone a little overboard with the colors. Eat your heart out, Lisa Frank!
